ABOUT THE HOST, MADDIE

Howdy folks! Glad you are here! I grew up in Austin, TX and since college (at the University of Texas, Hook 'em Horns!!) I have been on the pursuit of adventures, whether that is backcountry skiing in Japan, backpacking through Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park or exploring the many craft stores and coffee shops in New York City.

While sitting on the beach in Anacortes, Washington waiting for the ferry, the idea of starting a podcast interviewing National Park Superintendents dropped into my head and anyone who knows me knows it was all I could think about and talk about until I finally decided a few months later I had to take the idea to action. 

This podcast is driven by my love for people's stories, my desire to buck the tradition and to live a life full of adventure. I hope you'll come on this journey with me as we discover the behind-the-scenes of national parks and the people who run them.
